Fits the room. With seating clearance the pod needs 21'-0" × 16'-2". The 24'-0" × 18'-0" room leaves 3'-0" spare along the pod and 1'-10" across it.

How the engine worked it out

  • Footprint 15'-0" × 5'-2". 3 bays of 60" along the spine, and two 30" deep rows back to back with 2" between them for the screen and the beltline. That is 12.9 sq ft per position.

  • Spine beam in 2 segments. At 60" the stocked beams are 5'-0", 10'-0": whole bays, so a joint lands on a bay line. The longest is 10'-0", so the 15'-0" spine takes 10'-0" + 5'-0", with 1 splice over a joint leg.

  • 2 feeds for 6 modules. A circuit is 80% of 20 A at 120 V, 1,920 W: 6 modules at 300 W, serving at most 4 positions. A bay has 2 positions and 2 modules, so the limit of 4 positions lets one circuit take 2 bays. 3 bays need 2 base infeeds; the beltline is 3 harnesses with 1 jumper.

  • 23" deep pedestals. Pedestals are sized to the surface: a 30" deep top takes a 23" pedestal, which stands under the front edge and clears the spine beam.

  • Fits the room. With seating clearance the pod needs 21'-0" × 16'-2". The 24'-0" × 18'-0" room leaves 3'-0" spare along the pod and 1'-10" across it.

The clearance check is illustrative: 30" for a chair and a 36" aisle behind each row, and 36" aisles at the ends. It is not a building code, egress or accessibility determination.

Square feet per position is the footprint divided by the positions; with clearance it adds the chair zones and aisles. The clearance check is illustrative: 30" for a chair and a 36" aisle behind each row, and 36" aisles at the ends. It is not a building code, egress or accessibility determination.
